This month (April 2013) I committed the last 30 days to the Ultimate Blog Challenge. In this challenge you were tasked to blog at least 30 times throughout the month.

Yes it was challenging but it was a great exercise in commitment. It taught me a lot about what I liked about my business; it unearthed things I didn’t know I enjoyed. I will illustrate those things over the month of May.
I discovered and found enjoyment in what I do and discovered what I felt was unfruitful in my business. The blog challenge really helped me overcome my perfectionist ways! I had to overcome the whole graduate school homework mentality.
As the challenged promised I received many benefits.
- 24 new Newsletter subscribers
- 33 new Facebook business page likes/friends
- 57 new Twitter followers
- Blog traffic-my unique visitors increased 360%!
In my opinion the Ultimate Blog Challenge is a great idea for new and longtime bloggers. You meet great people and get to read great blogs. The other benefit to the Ultimate Blog Challenge is the creative ideas you receive just for participating.
The cons in my opinion are mostly self-inflicted. The task is to keep blogging consistently through your busy schedule and all that life throws your way. It requires discipline and gives you a great boost in your business.
Would I do again? YES!
Have you participated in a blog challenge? If so, tell me about your experience.
